2. BIS Hallmark & HUID Certification

All eligible gold jewellery sold at Swarnam Jewellers carries BIS Hallmark and HUID certification, ensuring purity and authenticity.
HUID (Hallmark Unique Identification) guarantees traceability and transparency as per Government of India norms.
Certification charges, if applicable, are non-refundable.

3. Gold Purity Testing (Karatmeter / XRF Testing)

We offer free gold testing using a Karatmeter (X-ray Fluorescence – XRF machine).
This is a non-destructive gold purity test that instantly determines gold karat value.
Test results are indicative and based on machine calibration standards.

4. Jewellery Product Information

Jewellery weight, design, and stone details are approximate and may vary slightly due to handcrafted manufacturing.
Product images are for reference only; actual jewellery may vary slightly in appearance.
Traditional and bridal jewellery designs may differ based on availability.

5. Jewellery Pricing & Transparency

Prices are calculated based on the prevailing gold rate, silver rate, diamond rate, and gemstone value on the date of purchase.
Making charges, GST, hallmarking charges, and stone value are charged separately and transparently.
Prices are subject to change without prior notice due to market fluctuations.

6. Orders & Advance Payments

Advance payment may be required for custom-made jewellery, bridal jewellery, or special design orders.
Orders are confirmed only after receipt of advance or full payment.
Custom-made or personalized jewellery cannot be cancelled once manufacturing has begun.

7. Returns, Exchanges & Refund Policy

Returns or exchanges are accepted within 8 days from the date of purchase with the original invoice.
Jewellery must be unused, unworn, and in original condition.
Custom-made, engraved, resized, or altered jewellery is non-returnable.
Diamonds, gemstones, pearls, and beads are excluded from returns unless specified.

8. Gold Buyback & Exchange Policy

Gold jewellery buyback value is calculated based on the current gold rate on the day of return.
Making charges, wastage, stone charges, and taxes are non-refundable.
Diamond and gemstone jewellery will be evaluated for quality before exchange or buyback.

9. Repairs, Resizing & Maintenance

Free resizing may be offered within [X] days, subject to design feasibility.
Repair and resizing charges apply after the free service period.
Damage due to regular wear, mishandling, or accidental causes is not covered under warranty.

10. PAN Card Requirement – Jewellery Purchase Terms & Conditions

As per Income Tax Department of India, providing PAN Card details is mandatory for high-value jewellery purchases.

For any jewellery purchase above ₹2,00,000, customers must provide a valid PAN Card number at the time of placing the order.
For all domestic jewellery orders exceeding ₹2 lakhs, PAN Card verification is required before proceeding to the payment page.
The order will be processed only after successful PAN Card verification.
The billing name must exactly match the name on the PAN Card. If the details do not match, PAN verification will fail and the customer will not be able to complete the order.
Failure to provide, verify, or correctly match PAN Card details will result in automatic cancellation of the jewellery order.

PAN Card information is collected strictly for statutory compliance for jewellery purchases in India and is handled securely in accordance with applicable laws.

11. Resizing and Repairs Policy

We offer free ring resizing, except when resizing is not possible. Any price difference will be either charged or refunded to the customer via online bank transfer within 10 days. For repairs, charges are determined on a case-by-case basis, and shipping costs are borne by the customer.

12. Jewellery Care Disclaimer

Customers are advised to handle jewellery with care. Exposure to chemicals, perfumes, water, or rough use may damage jewellery and stones.

13. Limitation of Liability

Swarnam Jewellers shall not be responsible for loss, theft, or damage after delivery. Our liability is limited to the value of the jewellery at the time of purchase.
